T H E M A D N E S S History:Jack was born in the city of Cork, Ireland to muggle parents sixteen years ago. His parents have since split and his father has pursued a career in politics. The family don't see much of him anymore and his mother doesn't work, although Jack's dad pays for his summer school which is awesome. He has one older sister called Bronagh, who's also a muggle, and he had absolutely no knowledge of the magical world throughout his childhood besides the odd random exploding teacup and his suspiciously immortal sunflower in the school gardens. It was the only one that the class planted that never died. Ever. so when he first got his Hogwarts letter he thought it was his mates from primary school playing a joke on him. Except it sort of wasn't and in September he found himself at King's Cross in England and wondering how the hell he was supposed to catch a train from a platform that didn't exist.
Needless to say that as a sixth year he's pretty much accustomed to the idea of magic and Hogwarts, and he often wonders what he ever did without them. Life's certainly a lot more fun with them anyway.
His sister has recently married, and yet it's his mother who's just had a baby. Weeeeeird. But what about Jack's life isn't weird, really?
Last year, Jack made three awesome new friends: Blake Parker, Lanisa Czerednikow and Thadeus Jay. Good times ensued. However, the random carefree fun couldn't last unfortunately. Jack was one of the many muggle-borns to have a run-in with one of Omen's followers, and soon after found out that one of the people behind the attacks was said to be Tad. Being stuck in the hospital wing he wasn't exposed the majority of the rumours flying around, and in an uncharacteristic fit of denial, refused to see Tad or hear anything to do with him because he didn't really get what was happening in the rest of the school.
Even after Tad's name was cleared, Blake and Tad soon fell out again over a different matter, and Jack tried not to take sides... but he ended up spending more time with Blake than Tad because Tad still had his girlfriend, while Blake was kind of... without anyone.
The summer was spent in Derry City in the north, because his mother had had the strange idea of moving there after she'd had the baby. Jack didn't like it that much, but it didn't matter since he was at summer school Monday-Friday and only came back to Derry at the weekends. Score one for Stage School getting him out of Derry!
Personality:Pretty much everything about Jack seems to radiate life and energy, from his habit of launching into random dance routines, to his occasional project involving animating hats. He also has a brand new baby sister! It's all Go in Jack's world, and he wouldn't change it for anything.
Jack seems to be constantly cheerful, bordering on hyperactive a lot of the time. He likes bright colours. And hats. And tends to get in trouble for wearing them to class a lot.
He knows how lucky he is to have come from Muggle parents and to get to opportunity to attend a school like Hogwarts, and he's determined to have as much fun there as he possibly can, while he can. When he gets bored, he tends to act up a little more than usual, but while he was pretty mouthy in class in his younger years, he's not as bad now.
He's a pretty good and loyal friend as long as you have a sense of humour. He likes to make light of situations rather than angst over everything and can often come across as unsympathetic or even sometimes dismissive of problems, but it's just his way of dealing.
He's not a particularly hardworking guy. Though he attends most of his classes, he tends not to be there, well... in mind. He's usually doodling in the corner of his parchment or humming or fidgeting or passing notes. And yet, he's one of those annoying people that seems to get freakishly high marks in everything without really trying. Which explains off most previous doubts about why he's in Ravenclaw, I suppose. In his spare time he likes dancing, doodling cartoons, and he recently earned the position of Beater on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team so... he does that too.
As for plans for the future? West End, baby! That's what summer school's for!.

Blake Parker: Jack and Blake have been friends for a while now, and Jack's trying to help him get over his break-up with Abby. The whole situation's kinda awkward, especially because the normally-hyper Blake is pretty miserable lately. It's kind of a downer, but it's Jack's duty as a friend to be there to listen and he knows it.
Lanisa Czerednikow: Tad's girlfriend. Despite the rift between the other two, Jack and Lanisa are still friends. Jack, like Tad and Blake, was quite protective of Lanisa during the Omen attacks, and didn't let her wander around on her own. She's kinda crazy.
Thadeus Jay: He's more emo than ever since he got back to school. He's not really sure what to do since he's trying to be friends with two people who aren't talking, besides be there to talk if either of them want to. Thing is, Tad doesn't seem to want to talk about it.
Magnolia Rowley: Gryffindor's Quidditch Captain and friend/rival. He doesn't care if she's hot, come Quidditch Cup time, BITCH IS GOING DOWN. D<<<<
Kita Harvey: DANCE PARTNAH. They used to randomly go dancing around the corridors. She used to be one of his (suspiciously numerous) girly pals. He used to try to look after her when she was down, and misses her quite a lot now that she's graduated.
Robin Adams: HAT REVOLUTION BUDDY! And also used to be on the Quidditch team with him. His misses her too. D=
Alexis Lind: He upset DANCE PARTNAH and called him and Robin Mudbloods. So. HAET. He doesn't actually know that it was Alexis that attacked him during the period when Omen was running loose, but I doubt that knowing this would help things much. Despite that, I still felt like using an evil icon, because it's fun. 8D
Leigh Taron: She's from Northern Ireland. Think's she's so British with her wee border and red hand picture thingy... *SHAKES FIST* There's a very odd sort of rivalry going on here. They amuse themselves by threatening each other frequently.
Melissa Hardey: DO NOT WANT. But that's okay because she's gone now. 8D
